1. Introduction

The Department of Forensic Medicine is situated in the Northern Block of College Building in the ground floor. The activity of this department is related with academic and medicolegal works. The 3rd and 4th years MBBS students learn about Forensic Medicine, which is an important subject for legal practice of Medicine. DFM course started in July 2002.

The doctors working in this department also perform medicolegal autopsy and other procedures like examination of rape victims, abortion, pregnancy, sodomy, delivery and age determination for the aid of law. The departmental doctors also attend in the honourable court of law as expert witness.
